Community-driven SPARCC gains traction
For the last 5 years, SPARCC (the Strong, Prosperous, And Resilient Communities Challenge) has been investing in the local efforts of six regions to ensure equitable and healthy opportunities in the places people of color live, work and play. Just as the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, SPARCC began its second three-year phase.
The Center for Community Health and Evaluation has released a new report sharing the key findings and reflections from 2020-2021. The report highlights how SPARCC’s collective work in the first three years laid the foundation for systems change that is allowing organized, collaborative entities to advance a community-driven development model that prioritizes racial equity, health, and climate resilience in policy and capital efforts.
